SAN DIEGO'S TRASH APPLICATION

SD Waste

OVERVIEW

Concept

Application for the City of San Diego. This app provides a clear personal collection schedule, an easy to use sorting guide, as well as trash-related events and information.

Design Considerations

The city of San Diego has funded the development of a couple applications like the SDPL App and the Get It Done app. We used these and other successful city trash applications to design the SD Waste app.  Both of which are great resources for the residents that live in San Diego. We saw a hole in the market for all waste related information which is only accessible via their website. We followed the city of San Diego branding guidelines to keep brand consistency.

Campaign

Some of the most impactful campaigns were simple and interactive. To bring awareness to the application, we designed billboard with our three sorting bins so residents can physically use the bins and interact with the advertisement.
